Is This Real Life?

Dead End Girl hit Number 3 in the entire Kindle store yesterday. Zoinks!

This is a huge, big, mega-sized deal. I had to keep pinching myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.

In a way, I’ve been on the path toward writing this book since 1995 when I read Red Dragon by Thomas Harris. It not only scarred my impressionable psyche, it also made me want to spend the rest of my life writing creepy stuff. Good book.

So it’s pretty mind-blowing when I consider the number of people the Violet Darger series has reached at this point. And it’s exciting to consider what this kind of exposure could lead to down the road.

Now would be a great time to grab the book if you haven’t done so yet. It’s currently FREE if you have a Prime subscription. (And free with your Kindle Unlimited subscription, as always.)

  1. I am reading “Killing Season” right now. Good American prose from you two. Not ostentatious show off language. Easy reading. What bugs me is that there are no physical descriptions of Violet and Victor other than he is tall. As a reader it is hard to form a picture of them from nothing. What do they look like? How do you two see them?

    1. Hi Phil-
Glad to hear you’re enjoying the book! I think Tim and I both have a tendency to avoid describing our main characters in great detail, in an attempt to allow the reader to fill in the blanks. I have a rendering of Violet here. I have plans to do the same with Victor and other characters as well.

  2. Do you have plans for more books in the Violet series? Just finished them and I am hoping this is not the last we have seen of her!
