You did it!

Holy hanging chads! You did it! Your votes made us official nominees for the 2020 Goodreads Mystery/Thriller Award.

This semifinal round only lasts 6 days, so go vote for First Girl Gone, and we’ll see if we can make it to the final round:

Vote for First Girl Gone in the GoodReads Choice Awards semifinals!

This is quite literally the most important election of the year, so let’s bring victory to the Vargus/McBain ticket and make the world a very slightly better place. (Also, I stole that “most important election” joke from David Wong.)

If we make it to the next round, we vow to not only fight injustice and evil wherever it lurks, but we will also get a candy machine in the cafeteria. Some of our opponents I won’t name (Harlan Coben) will do everything in their power to block the candy machine deal.

For real, though, thanks so much for voting for us. Even if we don’t make it to the next round, it’s pretty crazy that we made the list.

    1. My name is Rebecca Hetzler, I didn’t learn to read until I was 28 years old I am now 66 yrs old. I love your books even have friends reading them the one that gave me the creeps was Five days Post Mortem, I have friends who really live in Sandy Oregon, I live about 30 min or so from Sandy, Oregon. So sad to hear about Fowles getting killed. But anyway I am so dysletic and have learning Disabilties really bad, so I still love to read. Question have you really been to Sandy, Oregon. I am now retired from the State of Oregon thank GOD for big blessings. Any way just want to say Hi and keep on writing I think you are up there with James Patterson, Lisa Gardner.

      1. Thanks, Rebecca! We have never been to Sandy, but we wanted a small town with a river not too far from Portland. Plus we liked the name. Happy reading!
